2-Color Dragons and Monarchs

The other day in a comment thread with Rob Dunlavey I acknowledged, happily, that I draw upon the tradition of spot color printing in my own work. Yeah, these are nice little spots that draw heavily on the spot color plus black "style" we see in so many 50's to early 70's era kids books or kids chapter books.

The style of them shows a loving and appreciative hand. The fear I have is that they verge on being anonymous (maybe this is good?). You have rendered a few details in the illustrations with a "digital" sensibility which helps them elude a complete stylistic copying. In my humble opinion that is!
